Bryan Mellage’s lifelong pursuit of catfishing started as a young child sitting beside his Grandpa along the creek bank.  All of Bryan’s children grew up holding onto fishing poles, catching catfish, but Mariah is the one that caught the fever of chasing the big one.
This love of fishing and looking for ever bigger catfish led Bryan and Mariah to think about helping others to do the same – their company MondoCat was the result.

As MondoCat develops and expands, the company’s ongoing mission will continue to be; to produce high quality tackle dedicated to helping others with the riggings and improved techniques to catch more catfish, bigger catfish, and to grow the sport and the family of people who want to go – CATFISHING!

The expansion of MondoCat has not changed the essence and driving force of the company. MondoCat builds quality products that are designed to handle the load and the rigors of catfishing, especially catching big catfish. MondoCat strives to sell and produce products that are made in the U.S.A.
